How long are the classes?
45 minutes per class for about 12 weeks.
How much do the classes cost?
$7 each time your child participates. Perfect
attendance awards are given, so it's important your child attends every class. Full payment may be made in advance otherwise you can pay as you go or pay a couple classes in advance. If I miss a class, can I do a "make-up" class?
If you miss a class for any reason, you can stay
the following week for two classes to make-up for for your missed class. If you know in advance that you will be absent for a class than you can do a "make-up" class in advance by staying for two classes. No "make-up" classes are allowed on the last day of class. Is there a registration fee?
Yes, a $12.00 registration fee is charged to
everyone who registers for our program. If I miss registration can I still register at the class?
Yes, registration is accepted throughout the
entire session. Is there financial aid available and if so how do I apply?
Yes, you may request a financial aid form at
registration or the first class and ALL questions must be filled out completely, otherwise the application will be considered invalid and not processed. Proof of financial need(i.e. medical card, Link card, unemployment stub, etc.) is requested with application. If my child's class is held at the YWCA, do I have to purchase a membership?
No, you are not required to purchase a
membership at the YWCA to participate in any of the AAYA of IL classes. Do I have to purchase a uniform for my child?
No, you are not required to purchase any
merchandise. If your child participates in Parades or Competition, a uniform is required. What should my child wear to class?
Comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Hair
should be pulled back away from your face if it is long. If I do want to purchase a uniform or merchandise, how can I place an order?
You can place an order by fax to 309-634-0164 or by mail to P.O. Box 4304, Bartonville, Il 61607. We do request that you prepay for any orders placed. All orders will be charged $8.00 for S&H.Merchandise is not guaranteed to be in stock and may take up to 3 weeks for delivery.
What qualifications do your coaches have?
Our coaches come to us with experience in
cheerleading or martial arts. Then they go through an extensive training through All American Youth Activities. We conduct thorough background checks on all employees. How do I contact the office of AAYA of IL with any comments, questions or suggestions?
